being from the cleveland area has given me the opportunity to meet Bob Feller several times at shows and he also attends many games....believe me if you have the time he'll sit and talk baseball with you and provide his insight and opinions......he is a great hof'er to see in person. not many of the old, old timers left anymore....

You bring up another good point about alot of the old timers...they served in the military, unlike the later years prior to the draft when it seemed few served....Ted Williams, Bob Feller, Gene Bearden, Bill Dickey, Joe and Dom DiMaggio and a host of others all served and also played....
