Grades back from our Host

Well, the grades are back- I am not disappointed but not that pleased-

1921 2 Pesos Mexico (silver) MS64

1933 Crown GB MS64

1707 Half Crown GB AU50

1811 B 5 Francs France AU58- This crossed

The 2 pesos has the eye appeal, lustre and just a wonderful look- from a technical perspective, 64 was probably reasonable

There are no PCGS MS65 Wreath Crowns graded from the 1930s- I was hoping this would make it

The 1707 Half Crown is a wonderful original coin- 50 seems fair

The 1811 B 5 Francs has terrific lustre and I am not arguing with 58- its just that there is eye appeal worthy of something- it likely will not be appreciated until it makes an appearance at Heritage or Goldberg-

    Wybrit-

This is the first Wreath Crown and the second George V Crown that I have sent to our Host for grading- both graded MS64. I thought one was better than the other. I think this illustrates the point that coins graded the same, in this instance MS64, are just not created equal.

Please do not see this as a complaint- just an observation which lead to the question asked in another thread about the plus designation

No question of that. I have one of the nastiest looking PCGS MS64 pieces you will ever see.

The '33 Crown in 64 is sure nothing to get upset about, congrats on making that one.
