Two Bumps on the Same Card

I sent in a raw 65 Carty, expecting an 8. It came back m/c. I sent it in a few months later, and it received a 7. I was glad to get it graded, but there was no way it was just a 7. I sent it in a 3rd time (in the holder), and it bumped to an 8. I will not submit it a fourth time.

    A scan of a card is always a good thing, and will many time explain better then a poster can.

    Glad to see you got the grade you wanted.
    Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
    Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

    An 8 on a 1965 Carty is a fine grade indeed. Not the easiest 8 in that set by any means. A notoriously tough card over the years.

    Something like that happened to me last month. I sent in a 1963 Fleer Bill Mazeroski and they gave it a 7. Its not even close to a 7. So I sent it in the second time it graded a 7 again!. Those were the specials where grading cost about 6.00. So I sent it in with a group of 6 cards for 14.00 per card and guess what it graded. An 8.5,,, from a grade that means wear on almost every corner, then graded nearly Mint.
    Made me laugh but happy I finally got the grade it deserves. It looks mint
