Even though I'm a collector, I'm not an idiot. I absolutely LOVE the NGC holder, but I realize one day my children will sell their collections. Therefore I ONLY buy PCGS coins. I don't have the time or luxury to submit raw coins or resubmit other TPGs coins so I buy coins already slabbed in PCGS holders.
NGC new holders are crystal clear and I like toned silver coins a against white background. MJ

I like OGHs. I will also be the heretic and say I like the new prong NGC holders (although I don't own a single one). I know they're a pain for photographers though.
"Look up, old boy, and see what you get." -William Bonney.
For me, in order: PCGS OGH with the darker font. PCGS blue without the barcode on the front. Small white ANACS (no 'net' coins though- too busy when ANACS lists all the info. on the insert). SEGS! Solid and kind of a cool holder.
My Worse list: (New) burnt orange ANACS. (Newish) blue insert ANACS with the oversized grade font. ICG (plastic is too soft and scratches easily).
SEGS (near indestructible) PCGS (best overall, #1 most attractive) ICG (also strong, also attractive) old NGC (just ok) old ANACS (also ok, best overall for quarter and smaller sized coins) old PCI (decent) new NGC (hate the prongs in pictures) new Anacs (flimsy)
Just based on looks alone I like the PCGS holders the best. The newer NGC holders look much nicer than their older ones. The newer ANACS, SEGS and ICG holders look cheap and inferior in quality. The slightly older ANACS holders, the ones you could twist and break with your bare hands, look really cheap and shoddy.
Ignoring the reputation or expertise of the grading company that stands behind it and addressing only the holder itself, I prefer NGC for the following reasons:
1. White plastic makes it easier to photograph with auto exposure on high reflectivity coins such as most moderns.
2. The square edges and wide flat field on the viewing area are simpler and less distracting. The PCGS holder has too many lines and circles.
3. MORE RUGGED. They don't have those little stacking tabs that break off PCGS slabs and cause returns from buyers.
4. Last but not least, Gold doesn't tone in NGC holders.

What about the NCS holders with transparent prongs, otherwise about the same as NGC, didn't those allow a better rim view? Are those still available?
Consideration should also be given to a new grading service with holders that feature a perfect view of the rims of coins, Michigan Masters Numismatic Services, with website of www.mmnscoin.com and from what I've seen their workmanship appears excellent.

I agree with you about the MMNS holders - they seem truly innovative, although I haven't seen them in hand.
I do have a soft spot in my heart for the old ANACS holders, though ...

NGC isn't even in the running. Fat white tomb overshadows the coin.
edited to add: also have a soft spot for ICG with the black insert

Worst hands down are the new pronged NGC holders as they make photography IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!!
