I'll ditto the no reply on both. However (and I should know this), is it the 1960-D that has the "Bar-0". Sure looks like these have the die wear or gouge ove the 0 in 1960.
the monticello is almost completely gone in the middle of the building. I would venture MS 63 with the nicks and ticks plus the weak reverse strike. Could possibly go 64 depending on luster.

They're obviously different stages of the same die. #2 is later than #1.
This is a tough date and strikes are often poor but I think strike will preclude either from making 66. I like the #1 obverse and the #2 reverse. If you've got more from these dies keep looking. You may be on the right path.
There are lots of BU rolls of this date available and the strike varies from atrocious to attractively well-struck. If you want to find a nice 60-D Nickel, examine as many 1960 gov't-issued mint sets as you can. I have found examples that would undoubtedly grade MS-65 (shot '66, though I haven't personally made an MS-66!)

I'd wager MS64 tops if even that.

<< <i>I was under the impression that for any coin to make 65 or higher the strike had to be good >>
This isn't too bad for the date.
