are cardsavers safe for long term storage?

Just curious. I thought I read somewhere that over time the corners can become damaged (?)

I believe if you put all cards in penny sleeves with cardsavers, they should be fine.
  • I believe cardsavers should only be used for transport to grading companies... They are not hard cases so you never know with time if they will mold to a different shape. I don't even trust top loaders because they tend to also mold the card however the case is turning. I have had cards in top loaders come out all curved up, so just imagine what cardsavers can do over time!

Magnetic class holders are the best thing other than grading cases in my opinion. Good luck!
  • What Bryan said. I would also use cardsaver I's for all cards just for the added room. I've had cardsaver II's before but it was a little too tight of fit for my liking.

I used to do shows up until about 3 years ago and have noticed that card holders that were from that time with cards still in them are slowly yellowing. Don't know if others have experienced this but that has been my experience. Also the cards are in boxes covered so it is not an issue of light hitting them....
