I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Greattoning for the excellent job I believe he's doing with the photography and presentation of select coins from my collection. I didn't choose him lightly.

I first studied a lot of his auctions to determine in my own mind that he was accurately representing the color quality of toned coins on his site. As most of you who are interested in toned coins know, the true colors on a coin can be difficult to capture, and unfortunately, the actual coin often doesn't look in-hand as it did in the photograph. I'm confident that the photos Greattoning is displaying accurately represent the coins being offered.

Toned coins really are like pieces of art in that each is unique, and the beauty of each is indeed in the eye of the beholder. I was always surprised that when collectors visited my table and looked at coins from my collection, more often than not each chose a different coin as his favorite. I'm sure the same happens each week with the coins Dick is currently running. I'll do my best to present to you GSA collectors out there a good variety of toned coins each week from my collection representing differing dates, differing toning patterns, and differing valuations.
