What is best source to get complete State Qtrs Set?

northcoinnorthcoin Posts: 4,987 ✭✭✭✭✭
Just saw a TV ad on one channel promoting a "one of every state" set for approximately $40 plus s&h. Then on another channel I saw a promotion for a complete (both mint) set along with no additional charge supplementation of the territorial coins for a total of $119 plus s&h. Can one get equal or better deals with the coins mounted in albums (as these are) from a numismatic source?

I take it then none of the mail order dealers who advertise in the numismatic press are matching or beating the TV promos?

Any premiums on any early rolls, still have a box of DE P mint unopened.

I just got a Littleton offer in the mail of $30 (free shipping) for "one of every design" including the Territorials. If it can't be ordered otherwise, you can have this order form if you want it!

Even though at worst the set's not worth more than the $14 in face if selling later to a B&M, for 56 BU quarters in one swoop, I'd tell a person with casual interest that it might be a good deal. Don't you think so? On the surface, it seems like paying the extra $16 is worth the trouble of not having to assemble all 56 yourself. But I guess that's what Littleton wants someone to think. Since the Littleton deals have the complication of canceling the coins-on-approval program, I've never done one.

Thanks. Considering the time factor I'd agree that is a decent way to at least have one of every coin for a reasonable price. Does sound like a lead in though rather than a profit maker for Littleton which may explain why we are not seeing similar or better offers in the numimatic press.

I got one attached to a credit card statement offering all 56 coins for $19.99 (but with $4.95 shipping).
