OK Buffalo collectors....does the 1937-D/S exist?

Recently I purchased a nice BU 1937-D Buffalo that has what appears to an underlying "S" through the center of the "D". I checked Lange's book and he lists one and has a photo. My coin matches the photo almost identically. So, Buffalo variety guys, does this variety exist as an omm, or is it a repunched mintmark or is it merely a die scratch? Any confirmation or otherwise. I've added a quick photo of the mintmark of my coin. In person you can see repunching on the bottom of the "D" also.
Thanks.

I've never considered my self as any kind of authority on OMMs or RPMs (doubled dies and such are more my cup of tea) but I've never seen an image that convinced me that the variety mentioned is a true OMM. I've only seen one example of the variety in person, so I can't comment too much on it. I will say this-I wouldn't pay big bucks for it-even if it IS a true OMM it's certainly not very definitive or impressive. I do know it's not currently listed in the CONECA files.
Me.......I'm not one to steer you anywhere, as I am not well versed in the process.
But.......go ahead......give it a shot.
Given the foibles that the Mint was guilty of at the time, you can only gain by a professional look.
