Ebay and their resolution center

I bought an item that was not as described and damaged to boot. I return the item to the seller. I get a message from ebay and the seller is kicked off ebay and a message warning me to not deal with this member. The card is already on the way back to him. I sent with delivery confirmation and the case was made in my favor. The only remaining piece is that I have to confirm the delivery confirmation number. At this point the ebay page does not come up for me to do this......I do not know what to do now......

Ebay: Are you a seller?
Caller: Yes.
Ebay: You lose.
Caller: Why?
Ebay: Don't ask questions or you'll be removed.
Caller: What?
Ebay: Bye bye.

Why do you have to confirm the DC? The seller has been kicked off, right? If you're still concerned about getting hurt somehow, just email/call EBay and ask "where do I enter this?" I bet they know.

Don't be surprised if you never hear from the seller or ebay regarding this issue. It sounds like they banned the seller, so there is nothing he can do to bring any harm to you. Besides, you will get the card you sent back, so the case might be closed as is.
With all that said, its OK to be thorough and call ebay. That's what I would do too.

Legitimate buyers should NEVER use the "EBAY resolution" scheme.
ALL claims should be filed at PayPal.
EBAY "resolution" is great for scammers, though. ALL bogus claims
are immediately found in favor of the scamming "buyer."
.........
In the instant case, the buyer's refund will be issued as soon as the
DC # shows as delivered in the "resolution" panel.
it's ok, we all learn the hard way
