"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." (Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. Last I heard, I think it was RYK summed it up best when he said something to the effect of "1,000 partially right answers = 1,000 $1 checks."

I thought John Albanese won the $1,000 because of his Mrch 12th press release.

Smart marketing with the $1000 offer by HRH. First, it encouraged discussions, brought forth many ideas and intensified the interest in the topic. Also, if even ONE small idea (and there may be more than one or even some BIG ideas) comes out of the many "guesses" that PCGS can use to better their service or their company, it is well worth the writing of such a check. I continue to be impressed by these guys.

While I have not read every post in this thread, I have read many, I hope I didn't re-guess someone's guess, but here goes:

One of the big ones will:
    A. Eliminate (or greatly reduce) the human element in coin grading
    B. Completely eliminate CAC from the equation
    C. Make most collectors want their coins to be re-submitted.
    D. Allow coins to be easily tracked and inventoried.

My guess is that PCGS has developed and copyrighted a new technology which will digitally capture the 3D surface of each coin. Then through special algorithms generate a 3D digital signature. These 3D digital signatures will be unique to each coin, which will all but eliminate counterfeits, easily identify stolen coins, allow for easy inventory tracking and allow for an exact numerical value (on a scale of 1.00 to 70 or 1.00 to 100) for grading purposes. The results will be scientific in that a specific coin will generate the same results each time. And will also produce the highest resolution, most life-like photographs ever seen.

this idea seems to fit the hype
