Clarification on PCGS+ Cost for Reholder?

Hi all,

I'm just trying to make sure I have understood this correctly: It now costs $20 each to have all of our coins already graded by PCGS re-holdered and given a "+" if they are judged to be high-end? Is this correct? It seems a bit confusing because this type of "reholder" service now must essentially involve regrading the coin as well to determine if a "+" is warranted?

Just trying to make sure I have this clear ...

  • It is my opinion that a reholder is NOT a regrade.

Reholder is just what it states, not a regrade.

  • So the + designation would not be provided for the $20 reholder fee? Is that what you're saying?

Right - you will have to pay the cost of grading again.
Have bought and sold on BST, many references available when asked.

You have to pay the cost of grading again, and at this point the minimum service level is Express ($65 each).
    When in doubt, don't.
