"More precise and consistent grading".....from PCGS...... What does that refer to?

From the PCGS website:

Announcing "More precise and consistent grading "

What does this pertain to? Does this mean they're finally ditching consensus grading in leiu of a different and better way of grading.....like.....blind weighted average grading but they just don't want to make a big deal out of it so they drop the announcement in a slicky boy hoopla fest about scans and plus signs?

Taking scans of coins doesn't result in more precise and consistent grading.
Adding a plus sign doesn't result in more precise grading unless accompanied by a better methodology of grading coins.

Agreed?

Read the second paragraph LINK; it means you're stuck with their first opinion.

To me it just meant they will catch their own regrades and won't be doing that anymore.
No more grading a coin a 64 then watch it get dipped and get a 68. Same coin. Grade
    should not change.
At least there is absolutely no chance I'll get anything reholdered so they have saved me
a bunch of money to spend on coins.

    From my March 17 post:

Now, the most important part will be that for the most part, the "human" factor will be taken out of the mix. This will be replaced with LASER SCANNING of the coin, which will provide an exceptionally intricate and multi faceted way to compare the coin against the accepted grade standard.

It will provide a way to compare the coin against a previous scan of the same coin, if there is one. But, please explain how it will allow a practical, meaningful way to compare the coin to others for purposes of assigning a grade?
