What qualifier if any takes precedence over the others?

Just wondering if anyone knows what importance PSA places on any qualifier vs. the other qualifiers. For instance, a card that meets all the technical reauirements of a PSA 8 except the centering is off and there is a noticeable stain. There is an item on ebay #200453552260 that is graded o/c, but to me the staining is more of a distraction. Hopefully, someone can provide a link. Thanks, Tom

Good question, but I would assume that any card with more than one qualifier would have been bumped down a grade for one and then qualified with the other. So I'd say the stain dropped it a grade first, then the OC kicked in.

  • What stands out more the stain or the OC? To me the OC so they marked it right. Maybe in the future they will mark on the slab all the problems of the card....

Really? When I hit enlarge, the 1st thing my eyes go to is the big stain on top/center. Technically, that centering is probably about 30/70 l-r which is the allowed centering for an 8 without any other issues.

it's not 70/30. My screen ruler says the ratio is 5-13 L-R, which is bit above 30/70. That's why it got the Qualifier.

Maybe it's me or the card is in the wrong size holder as the holder it is in is an older flip, but the card looks a little short also.
