Anybody use the Droid Cell Phone from Verizon for your collecting? How?

I did a search for Droid and found a very short thread from a couple of months ago. Thought I'd ask again.

Any apps or other coin related uses?

    I want either a droid or iphone. It would be nice to be able to refer to VAMWorld or here while cherrypicking at a show...

    Oh yeah? Well, what can you do on your iPhone that I can't do on my Droid? Besides get dropped in the middle of a call because of AT&T lack of coverage.

    Droid has a crappy POP email handler because they want you to sign up for gmail. Mine is beeping constantly that is has new email and then I have to take the battery out to reset it to get it to actually download the new email from the server...they say it is on purpose so you'll change to a gmail address. -Jerry

    I have a Storm...It works pretty well most of the time. I do go on VamWorld when I'm at shows...

    Yeah, so far I'm not impressed with Gmail.

    I signed up for a very important coin dealer email newsletter with the Gmail account so I'll be able to get it on my phone. It took 10 years, but 21st century here I come!

    I signed up for a gmail account. amazing how many names are taken. You almost have to use random letters to get a name. It seems to work fine but I have my business e-mail so many places that it will be a royal PITA to change it. Not planning to do it soon. --JErry

    i got one awhile ago and don't have any coin specific apps and not sure there are any of those anyways. But I do like to have my .pdf files of the greysheets and my various coin related excel spreadsheets available if I need them while at a show, saves carrying all of that paper. I've also pulled up the pcgs price guide a few times while at a show. but I guess you could do all of that on any smartphone, not just the droid.

    i went with the droid over the iPhone since 99% of the people I talk to use verizon and talking to them doesn't use any of my minutes if I have verizon too. plus AT&T doesn't get good coverage at my house or the house in hawaii and verizon works great in each location. plus iPhone people are snobs image

    My enV3 broke so I got the Samsung Intensity.

    I'm not really a tech guy although I do want the iTouch.

    definitely R2D2... that's what the google android logo looks like anyways, except he's green.
