Old Cardboard Magazine

After putting it off for a few years, I finally got a subscription to Old Cardboard.

I did a search on the message boards and was surprised when only one post came up! I'm curious to know what people think the magazine? I got my first issue and I definitely like it. Lots of feedback and stories from collectors -- The magazine claims it is for collectors and by collectors...

Collector Magazine (formerly SGC Collector) is also very good- legit articles for collectors by collectors.
I'd also highly recommend the run of back issues of VCBC. It's defunct now but they are still selling the entire run (minus issue #7 that was negative toward grading companies) for about $130.
It was the best, hardest hitting magazine in the hobby until it was sold and allowed to be run into the ground.
Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

You can find nearly all the issues on ebay. Just search for "VCBC".
Also, if you really are interested in "Old Cardboard", i.e., pre WWII cards, I highly recommend becoming a member of the Network 54 Baseball Card Forum. Most of the serious collectors of that era spend time over there.

<< <i>Is Old Cardboard Magazine still in business? I can't get their website to load.

I'm a regular over on the Net54 baseball forum, and haven't heard or seen anything about Old Cardboard going under (I am also a current OC subscriber). I just tried to access their website and couldn't get it to load either. They might just be having temporary issues.
