primetimecards.com....anyone ever bought from them?

They have some cards I am looking for - emailed for scans, but wondering how they are to do business with. Thanks!

  • Pete,

I tried about a year ago. I e-mailed the guy with an order for a bunch of cards. The guy did call me back at that time. He is apparently disabled and had a lot of time on his hands since he was very persistent - calling several times a day. We finally linked up and we finalized/revised the order. He even gave me a 10% discount. I sent him a money order for $175 - which made me nervous since I had never dealt with him as well. Several weeks past and no cards. By the time a month passed, I was starting to call every day thinking I was out the $175. He finally returned my calls and apologized claiming he had been dealing with a sick/dying relative. He told me he would not be able to complete the deal because the relative he was dealing with was in a different city/state than where his cards were. He did, however, send me a money order back refunding my money. So nothing gained, nothing lost.

I have tried to place orders with him - about once every 3-4 months - to see if he is willing to sell again. I, however, get no responses to phone calls or e-mails. His website is up but he seems to have disappeared.

If you have luck contacting him or doing business, please PM me.

    Thanks.

Good to know - I was thinking about calling if I don't get an email back, but I couldn't tell the last time was updated to see how active they are. Will certainly let you know if I ever hear back and work something out with them.

I had the EXACT same thing happen to me last year !!

The part that sucks about it is
he has some really really really hard-to-find cards
just sitting there listed on his website.

    The sad part is
We'll probably never know what happened to the poor guy.
    He may have passed away.

I wonder who's taking care of the estate image

Their website appears as though it was made in 2006, with very little updates.

Look of nice Steve Young cards...about 50% higher then normal in price, but a lot of rare items.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
