Who is the most beneficent coin dealer you know?

Some make this claim, but which coin dealer – living, dead or in between - best fills the bill?

Beneficent and then some!!!
Julian is a good choice; however, my vote goes to CRO.
I didn't know he was a coin dealer.
I can't remember her name, a woman coin dealer - Patton or something?- She always kept the history alive with the hobby and never seamed rushed to really sell anything. She was more into sharing history and coin facts and could explain very technical coin grading/doctoring points in plain easy to follow language.
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.
<< <i>"Sigh", she really brings back memories of the days before modern dentistry. >>
Picky, picky.
I gave them the not so coveted MJ 2009 Coin Dealer award. They acted happy. MJ
Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
<< <i>Okay here goes. Jack Baymer. He has always been very helpful and sharing of knowledge and takes allot of time with newbees like me. My experience has always been positive and educational. >>
I hope you don't mean Jack H. Beymer.
Lance.

I'm assuming you mean Beymer.....if so, that is very ironic. I used to do mail order business with them and sold them a few things, but he pissed me off more than once in person at shows, to the point that I will not do business with them anymore, or even glance at their table.
For great dealers on the national circuit (most of the forum wouldn't know the small local dealers here), Tom Reynolds, Ed and Lance Hipps, and Gary Adkins get my vote. Not sure if QD Bowers still qualifies as an active dealer - he's more like a coin dealer-emeritus. Larry Greenstone seems great also, but I have not met him in person yet. And Glenn Holsonbake is right up there.

I agree on the part about Jack Beymer. He isn't that far from where I live and my experience dealing with him and his wife combined with stories from other collectors and dealers from his area don't often put him in a good light. I've also offered some of my coins to sell him and his offers border on larceny. I won't deal with him and I don't trust him one bit. As another dealer once called him, he's a total weasel.
I nominate John McIntosh from Sacramento and Art McBride from Oregon as favorites of mine. Both are always fair and always treat people right.

Do you perhaps mean the sadly departed Gloria Peters?

When I bought a few 1982 no P roosies in the old PCGS holders back around 2002, he RAISED the price BEFORE the expiration of the Coin World ad he advertised them in. This was two days after we agreed on the prices as stated in the ad and when I called him two days later to re-confirm everything, he was unhappy and reneged on me as he was expecting the call from me within 1 day.
I complained to him to no avail. His wife has seen me at shows several times and asked if I want to buy anything and I simply could not tell her why I keep saying no. She is a really nice lady.
He has been sending me his mailing list since then and I simply throw it out.
I will not deal with him again *cannot ever say never). .
We'll use our hands and hearts and if we must we'll use our heads.
The Reeded Edge (Robbie) is good to work with too, I think.
Dick Osburn-- totally honest, doesn't use photos but you can trust his descriptions.. that's saying something!
