Which year Topps Heritage were the best overall?

If you can choose 2 years out of the Topps heritage lineup which two were the best ones to build or own?
Taking into consideration overall design and quality of the master set, odds of hits, quality of hits.
I've only completed the 2007 '58 design which was fun, curious which one I should get into next.
Just buy a set or build it from ripping boxes?

Second fave, not far behind is 2003. the auto checklist also rocks: kaline, banks, aaron on their rookie cards, snider, whitey, yogi, and willie also. hard to beat that. Nice sp's: jeter, a-rod (2) , pujols, ichiro.

2005 & 2001 for me.
I think this year's issue is the best Heritage product since 2005. It may even be better.
Regarding older issues..just buy the set. I would only buy boxes from the past few years where the box price has dropped.

While we're on the topic, does anyone know why the 2008 heritage hobby boxes are so cheap compared to other years?
I know the autograph list isn't that great, but if you look around you can find 08 hobby boxes for less than 50 bucks a pop.
like he was about to board an alien ship. It wasn't until I saw the magic of those autograph cards and the design of the original 52 set until I was hooked. Actually
the 2001 set is probably the furthest away from looking like the original, even more so than the half @#( effort topps put out this year in regards to the last 75
cards in this set.
I can't deny loving the 2003 heritage set. The cards were amazing, the autograph checklist was still in its prime and the set was just fun to collect. There were really
no scrubs on any of the higher end cards either. It took me 4 years to complete the chrome set (contrast that to the few weeks it took me to do this years chrome
set). Of course there wasn't a tenth of the collectors here that there was back then. The official 2001 heritage post didn't even reach 50 posts!
I really never got into the 04 and 05 sets, I liked the vertical designs best, I was rehooked in 07 and 08 again, of course still with plenty of HOF's on the auto
checklist. Last years design might of been the best, but the content was unforgivable. I still think the best value today on boxes of heritage has to be the 08
update. Still plenty of HOF'ers mixed in the set, with boxes close to 40 per...much reduced auto odds also.
Anyone remember the special toys r us packs? Those contained sometimes 6 or 7 low numbered SP's per pack! Of course all the ink and inserts were long gone, but
still a great deal. Anyone have that one card from heritage you have never been able to track down? For me its the 03 Aaron blue ink, one day Ill get it, It will look great
next to all the other greats I have, of course my collection wouldn't be half of what it is today without the help of many of you. For me, that means much more than
what comes out of the packs that I rip.
