Newbie need help with coin

Hey I'm a newbie to the forum and first I would like to say hello to everyone. I was referred here by another member. I have a penny I was wondering if anyone may be able to tell me around what it may be worth or if anyone has ever run into one of these before. Thanks in advance for the help

Did you pull this out of the ground? (guessing based on your handle and the surfaces)?

I feel it's Post Mint Damage as the reverse was ground off.

It's not uncommon to see these, and you can make your own by rubbing it on concrete.

Weigh the coin. If it has been ground off it will have a slightly different weight than a normal coin.

    Welcome aboard!

Obverse is full of verdigris. You might try some verdigone. I don't think the coin is worth much. The reverse is PMD (post-mint damage). But kinda cool looking. image

I did . I found it while metal detecting. I found a small cache of coins that contained mostly wheat cents ranging from 1914 through 1957. I also found a Mercury dime and a coin from Spain dated 1947 and some sort of Roman coin that I am not really sure about yet
