Barber collectors ..... I was just wondering.

When are you going to start dumping your PCGS VF/XF Barbers quarters and halves, and move on to some other, more interesting series? Life is short.

Thanks,
Dave
Always looking for original, better date VF20-VF35 Barber quarters and halves, and a quality beer.

Of all the Barber coins I have owned, which would be over 200 pieces in VF/EF, there have only been three or four of them certified. The vast majority have been raw.

At one time I had just over 100 in PCGS holders. Mostly VF and XF with a few Fines. I'd need to count all the raw ones I have which the majority are Fines. I only have three quarters though.

    Dave-

I have been told that many Barber collectors will let their Barbers go only when someone pries (sp?) them out of their cold dead handsimage

I have a few Barbers and I'll hate selling them but I never planned on keeping
all of them until the day I passed on.

Once I retire in a couple of years, I'll decide how I'll dispose of the collection.
Until that time, I'll still upgrade my Quarters and my better set of Halves.

I plan on keeping a few things to remind myself of what I once had - but I have
always stated that I want to get my collection down to be able to fit inside the
    smallest safe deposit box.

Dave all of mine will be for sale. I am sure my Estate will do a great job of disposing of them image

The next barber quarter or half I find with an Anacs photo certificate will be the first.........Heck, I've even found a 1795 2 leaf dollar with the certificate.
Need a Barber Half with ANACS photo certificate. If you have one for sale please PM me. Current Ebay auctions

I think that VF/XF Barber halves make the most sense,in my case to collect.I haven't seen a whole lot of them slabbed in those grades either.

Now, now ... I don't have nearly the amount or the quality that some
of the collectors who frequent the boards have. I'm just a bit more
vocal. Ok, ok...I have more than a few Barbers.

You can imagine what it was like working on five high end SLQ
collections at the same time. Just to name one series I love.

Dave, I wasn't thinking of selling, but my neighbor is having a yard sale and asked if I had anything I wanted to contribute to make the yard sale successful for him. I know I would probably get 10X the value on Ebay, but what the hell. I think I will unload my coins at this yard sale and give back to others.

Thanks for helping me sell my coins and to move on to other pursuits!

    Tyler
