Score!

I bought both of my kids the clad state quarter proof sets every year until they had all of them. Then I got to thinking that they were clad and had no real value in the future as an investment. I told them I was going to sell them on ebay and buy gold for them to replace the clad quarter sets. I got
$300 for each set. With this money I was able to buy them each a 1/4 gold Buffalo straight from the mint. I told them this weekend that the 1/4 ounce Buffalo was selling for 2k on ebay and asked them if they wanted me to sell the 1/4 ouncers and buy more gold for them or keep the 1/4 ouncer. They both said sell and buy more gold. One sold yesterday for 2k and the other is still up for sale. Both happened to grade PCGS MS70.

So they went from $300 worth of clad to 2k worth of gold.

Wow very lucky and congrats. Hopefully you can repeat this many times over.

They will need all the help they can get given our last few generations of reckless spending and fiscal foolishness.

I asked them that very question and let them make the call.
They will learn from their answers and hopefully this will bring wisdom to them on future decisions.

yeah you know I dont try to predict the future but those fracs are pretty much "one of a kind" and its not likely that the US Mint is going to gear up and do more (of couse that CAN happen).

You gotta watch these "special" coins that we have taken for granted that the mint has struck. the fractional buffs, the UHR......they are here in front of us at this moment, but hey, in the future....when the supply has been absorbed into long term collections..................................................................................

If I had $2k to spend on Gold as an investment I would be buying myself something very old.... not more AGEs.

It won't be AGE's. More than likely they will want 24k bullion. They aren't into numismatic value.......yet

Now trade that 2k into 1.8 ounces of gold.

I still find it hard to believe people pay 700% premiums. Good job.
