Why do you think that...

there is such a furor going on, over at the US Forum regarding the BIG ONE on March 25th? It seems that there is a lot of speculation about a supposed new PQ designation that has everyone's (almost everyone's) panties in a bunch. In my NOT so humble opinion (hey, at least I'm honest!), I think that there is TOO MUCH speculation and TOO MUCH worry that David Hall would actually do something that would hurt the value of coins that board members feel would not get the designation. I cannot believe that the top dogs at PCGS would be foolish enough to do something along those lines. After all, they ARE businessmen first! Right? What say you?!? image

I agree. Whatever comes likely won't be something that will destroy the coin market, even if it turns out to be underwhelming and silly.

Further, if the value of their precious little bits of plastic are so susceptible to the whims of a single company's actions I should hope that gets them thinking about the real value of what they have.

With all due respect to D. Hall and PCGS, the coins are still coins and at the end of the day they are providing only a grading service which although helpful is only a label and plastic for what is inside. I really do not care what the big anouncement is. I hope it helps their business, but am not holding my breath.
