Question for the Barber Folk out there

Was there any desgin modifcations during the period of mintage that may help determine whetehr or not a coin is an 1897 or a 1907? I have one where the 1 is worn off, but the ttops of the other digits are visible (the 7 is obvious). It is an O mint, so that is why I ask. I've compared it to 1907 and 1897 dated dimes and it certainly looks 1897, but wondered if ther emight be a difference in designs that may help be the clincher.
Thanks.
Thanks.

It looks like you are inquiring on a dime though?
Just want to be clear.

<< <i>I may be able to help once I get home. I have a tight turnaround to Ft. Worth but will try and check my reference tomorrow. As TomB asked can you confirm whether it is a dime. If it's a half or quarter I can help sooner.

<< <i>Okay, this is a dime. DLRC hosts many reference books online and one of these has to do with Barber dimes. This link might be able to give you the information you need to determine if your coin is an 1897 or 1907. >>
Tom-Thank you very much. I have his website bookmarked, but did not think to search for something on desgin changes there. You were most helpful. I thank you again and will remember the website in the future.
