1tommy - turn on your PM function so we can talk.

IfI happen not to be logged in and you need help doing so, just ask
& I'm certain someone will be glad to explain to you how to do so.

    It's not difficult.

If I am not mistaken, atop the page is a series of rectangular boxes.

Click on the 2nd from the left, "profile" - the same one you set your acct up with to these boards.

Almost to the bottom of this page in which you can update your profile, right above your allowed signature line,

third option from the bottom, you will see "Allow Private Messages:", right above Allow others to rate you -

    Choose "ON" right there!

    You'll see it.

Congratulations! You've now engaged your PM function.

I'll get with you in a few, later today.

I just sent you a PM. Notice on the left side is a padlock icon.

Next time you log on you will see that you have one new message.

Click there and you'll open the PM I just sent.

Obviously, for reasons unknown to me, there is little interest in a coin swap HOWEVER -

I am still up for swaps & tags with any & everyone.

Also, it is obvious that this will not be an Easter swap so we can always call it whatever we so choose.

At this point, if no one else wants to take part I will swap with both TC71 & 1tommy, as soon as 1tommy gets the

REQUIRED personal contact/ numismatic interest info to me.

I'll post again later but at this point in time TC, you & I are definitely a GO!image

    Later ~
  • Hi Boom,

I haven't been around much. Popping in now and then and lurking.
But I'll give it a go. image

I'm not sure why the lack of interest in the proposed coin swap.

I'll keep it open for a bit longer in case more should wish to participate

then we'll play it by ear from there. If no one else is interested we may

go with the few we currently have OR just call it off altogether.

Whatever you guys want to do is fine by me.

If so inclined to participate please sign up but know that everyone

must furnish verifiable contact info etc. Have a great day. image

Ill give it another go Boom. I have a pile of stuff Id like to pass on. Which means the focus of my collection has taken a shift.
  • Count me in PM sent.
  • Hi Boom,
I have some extra Kennedy Half dollars I will swap for some of the ones I am missing. I need some of the 60s.

  • Hi Jim,
I checked and it looks like what I have the most of for swapping purposes are some Kennedy half dollars in VF and better condition, dates from 1971-D, 1971, 1974-D, and Bi Centennial, mostly D mint marks. I am missing 1964, 68, 69, 70, 75, 86, 87, and 90, D mint marks. I don't have any S mint marks at all. I have about a roll of the above dates. Let me know what you are looking for.

Well this thread has really fallen asleep the last 3 weeks.......

FYI, this thread has been on Life Support since it's onset!

I'm just about done waiting for would-be participants.

As such, I'll reach a decision whether to go forward with it
or to call it off due to lack of interest in the next few days.

Meanwhile, if anyone wants to participate, sign up.

To be considered, if you have not yet furnished mandatory
verifiable contact info, numismatic interests etc - DO SO NOW!

    Thank you.

So far we have myself, TC71, lonelyp, quickwing, Musky1011, Bigtime36, Jinx86, ocon4008, ProofCents and Type2.

Tommy1 expressed interest but never committed.

Barring any changes this puts us at an even 5 pairs of swappers. I find the lack of interest appalling.

If this is just a PITA we can scrap it.

For those genuinely interested, we can have a swap.

    It's up to you guys.

I'm with the majority - either way! Whatever.

    Thanks
  • I just joined the forum, if this is still going on I am interested in swapping. Let me know if you want me in and I will send you my info. Thanks

Okay - I need to understand the rules and what info you need from me.
I participated in one of these a long time back, so I sort of know how
it works, but just want to make sure we're all on the same page...
