I will be selling my complete matte proof set at the Milwaukee Heritage Auction. The set is currently ranked twelfth in the PCGS set registry. All my matte Lincolns are designated red by PCGS and grade from very choice to near gem.The 1909VDB (total PCGS population in red - 30) is very choice and looks as good in hand as many with a higher grade. The 1916 (total PCGS population in red - 28) is near gem and a much tougher coin in full red than prices would indicate. The auction dates are April 28 - May 2, 2010 and the set is now being posted on the Heritage comming soon auction preview. It is sad that now is the time to part with my favorite set, but hopefully they will find a happy home. Drew in Tennessee

Always enjoyed viewing your set, good luck in the sale. I know how difficult it must have been to complete a 100% Red MPL Registry Set.

I have made this suggestion in the past: The PCGS gives a weighted rating of 330 to a PR63RD VDB. This is same rating (330) that is given to a PR65RB VDB. Does that mean a proof 63 red VDB is worth the same money as a 1909 VDB PR65RB? Don't know. However, obviously PCGS thinks the availability of each are the same? I think the population numbers affirm this fact also.
My coin has now been posted on the Heritage Milwaukee auction preview link.
