Silver World Coins???

I recieved a ton of different Chinese coins. Some say 20 cents on one side. They have different provinces. Are these worth anything. Also, I got a bunch of 10 sen Japanese coins too. Any help would be appreciated as I really don't know much about world coins.

Thanks!

I'm afraid you're going to have to take some pictures old chum.

Barring that, you'll have to scan- try 10 or 15 at a time,
obverse and reverse oriented in the same direction so no one has to break their neck.
Something like this, with the "feet" at the bottom.

If you can do that, we can tell you what you've got, how much they're worth, and why you
should give them to us for research purposes.image

It would also be great if you can give us weights for the coins. If you have a small digital scale that can weigh the coins in grams it can be very helpful.

  • The value of these China silver 20c varies by province - circ Kwangtung is basically silver, Taiwan province is $$$$, and many in between. The Japan 10 sen in circ is basically bullion related. Feel free to send pics.
