What's the best way to sell my collection?

I am seriously thinking about taking a much lesser position in the hobby and looking at selling off the majority of my collection. My question is:

A. Should I just consign it to an auction house?
B. Sell the majority off on these boards, similar to how Keith Weinhold has been selling off his football collection? Althoguh, It doesnt seem that cards are selling well on the BST boards lately.
C. EBAY

Before I get PM's asking if everything is okay, I am fine, just looking to concentrate on a handful of cards in very high grade, and looking to spend less time in the hobby as a whole.

I would do research on the heavy cards and see what they are averaging on Ebay. Then see what you get offered on the BST board and go from there.

For me, it would depend on how many items I'm wanting to sell, how quickly I need to sell them, and the price range for each.
I wouldn't consign to an auction house unless it was a high-dollar special item.
If I had mostly one type of item (like 50's FB) and I knew there's collectors here on the boards, I'd try BST first to avoid fees.
If I had a wide range of different items, years and sets, I'd use ebay. If I needed to sell pretty quickly, I'd also go w/ ebay first.

It depends on how fast you need liquidity.

If you can afford to take your time, then I recommend the one by one approach, on these boards and strong BIN's on Ebay.

I hate auction houses and they will never see one of my cards, unless they take it on zero consignment and 1/3 of their usual fees. Even then I will probably say no.

So, if it were me that's what I would do. Incidentally, if you have HOF'ers in higher grade that you want to move, please let me know because that is the direction I am headed.

I posted my Post War HOF RC's set and Brooks Robinson Basic Set on the Vintage Trading Board.

I posted the modern Rookie Player Sets and some football rookies on the BST Boards.

I am not looking to liquidate anything, just lessening my position in the card market.

    Thanks for input guys.
