I made a strong Ebay bid on a Canadian 1966 PL Quarter in PL 66 because-a; I needed one for my registry set
and b: because there were none graded higher, so it was a no brainer.
Meanwhile I had forgotten to check the coins that were in my last submission before I got caught up in the bidding.
As it turns out, I had the same coin, raw, in that submission. But I might have bid anyway since PCGS PL 67's are
somewhere on the same rarity scale as yankees at a Chitlin' Festival.
By now you know what happened; the coin got a PL 67--solo for the date--and my set took a very nice bump.
So I'm grinning, right?
But in the process I devalued the PL 66 I bought by a pretty good chunk
I'll survive, somehow........
