Buena Park, CA Show *Eh..*

What'd you all think?

I had fun seeing Clay, his son, Illini, PennyLady, and others but it was just another show in my opinion(As a buyer)..

Same stuff mostly, nothing new..

What'd you all think? How did YOU do? image)

Yes, that'd be the one! Glad you liked it.

The show was completely packed on Saturday, hard to even move around. I had some really good sales, nothing blockbuster, but it was a successful show for most of the dealers I talked to. Several forum members stopped by, including Wei, Moldnut, Illini, BNB, Tortuga, Robkool and a few others (so sorry I can't think of everyone!), and they each examined my beautiful 1851 Large Cent in person - they all agreed it is a beautiful piece, and so much better in hand.

While walking around the show this morning before the public came in, I found a beautiful 1909-S Lincoln PCGS MS65 RB (my photos don't do it justice!).

But, even more importantly, I bought this exquisitely beautiful ring that I just couldn't pass up!!! It's has a beautiful and somewhat rare 2 ct. red tangerine sapphire surrounded by .5 tcw of white diamonds. I happened to be wearing a red shirt and had red nail polish on so this ring just sparkled and looked just perfect on my hand! What else could I do? image

"*Eh..*...did BNB go Canadian all of the sudden?

I was at the show on Saturday from about 11am to 3pm. Attendance was good and I found coins to buy. Although I didn't find anything extraordinary at the show, there were some coins worth buying.

Except for the part where my iPhone took a shower and shorted out, the trip was a good one.

From my point of view the show seemed very well attended. I was only able to attend on Saturday morning but I saw a few things that I was interested in. None of which I bought because I was on the hunt for some PCGS/NGC Classic Head Cents. Well on that hunt I also got shutout. Some of the things that I saw that I'm still on the fence about is a 1872-CC quarter in a genuine holder, a 1927-S 5c NGC MS62 that looked like a good candidate for an upgrade and also a low grade PCGS 1844-C 5 dollar Half Eagle.
I saw lots of people buying generic gold and silver rounds too. So overall the show looked like a success.

By the way Charmys' Large Cent looks fantastic in hand and would look great in any collection, but my favorite that she showed me last week was the NGC MS 67 Indian that she picked up in Baltimore.
