Do major auction houses charge more than Ebay seller fees?

Assuming that you had an item that was going to sell for $3000, are there any major auction houses that do not charge or charge less than Ebay final value fees would be? Not sure if my question makes sense

Also, does anyone know which auction house might be the best to sell vintage golf cards?

Major auctions do not charge fees for higher end stuff. Single cards 1000.00 dollars or more and sets valued at 1000.00 dollars or more so there is no fees for you. Buyer pays the premium.

PS. Best to just call and tell them what you have and ask them. All you should be out of pocket is the shipping to them.
