How do I sell my 1952 Topps partial most effectively

I am considering selling my partial set of 1952 Topps in which I have just about 310 of the cards graded. Overall the set ranks about a 5.5 PSA although about 40 of the cards are SGC. There are 3-4 PSA 8s of the commons with the Campanella, Reese, and Mays at the PSA 2 or 3 level.

My guess is there are 40-50 specific cards that board members would want to parse out for individual sale, but maybe not my PSA 2 Chuck Stobbs. I am getting the feeling the inconsistency in grades and companies might be to my detriment.

So that said, what is my best option for moving the entirety at the lowest cost/highest exposure? I was considering waiting until Baseball season hits late May and then trying one of the ebay auctioners like "Consignmints" where each card would be sold individually.

Any testimonials of success with one of these companies? Your advice would be appreciated.

Throw them up here 1st. Scan them all and post the pics, 3 across works pretty good.

PRICE THEM FAIRLY! They will sell without cost to you. The rest can be disposed of on ebay etc.

Ebay and Paypal take enough $$ from a seller, no need to pay consignment fees on top of that. Spend $13, get VCP for a month, get a realistic view of what each should sell for currently, and price them accordingly here, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Example of a 3 across scan: Just price it like this:
Singleton $XX, Newhauser $XX, Kelly $XX (when one is sold just replace the price with SOLD)

I agree with Steve. Try it in the BST forum first. You could sell them individually or make lots out of them. No fees either.

if you follow gameusedhoop with his advice you can't go wrong.
if you have realistic prices, many will move here, popular set with set and team collectors.
you also have plenty of people here looking for low grade stuff, and enough hi grade people to make it work
    currently collecting baseball of

  • Sell them here just as described. Most will even gift the Paypal money to you.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

You have convinced me. Anyone interested in getting my list may PM me. Otherwise I will try the buy/sell board next weekend. I look forward to your offers and potential abuse. (I can already see it, "THAT OFFER SUCKS! I'M SUING THE LOT OF YOU!").

Just kidding. I am a reasonable individual.
