ANA money Show

I will be in Fort Worth the last week end in March, can anyone recommend a dealer I should look to do do business with. My interest lie in early gold, morgan dollars and nice examples of common date US coins (a type set for reference) This will be my first show and I'm trying to get prepared. Feel free to pm any names or just post for everyone to see, please no ax grinding.

Can you be more specific regarding your interest in "early gold"?

What sort of dates, denominations and grades are you looking for?

  • I'm sorry early half eagles, coronet and indian head, preferably AU but problem free.

    cartermurph,

Ah - when you said "early gold", I thought you meant pre-1834 gold.

AU Indian Head and post-1878 Coronet half eagles should be pretty easy to find - just look for dealers who have a decent inventory of them in their cases. I'd look for the "bullion-type" dealers for raw AU Indian Head and post-1878 Coronet half eagles. You'll probably have to look around for slabbed AU Indian Head and post-1878 Coronet half eagles.

If you're looking for better-date or pre-a878 Coronet half eagles or branch mint Coronet half eagles, there are a few dealers who specialize in those coins.

for some really cool coins (type) try Coin Rarities Online.

Other type dealers may include JJ Teaparty, New Orleans Rare Coins, Jack Beymer, Rare Coins of New Hampshire. I don't know if each will be at the show, but if they are you should stop by and check out their inventory.
