Two French-owned islands.

They are not near Africa but off the coast of Newfoundland in Canada.

Huh. I just learned something, geographically speaking. It's usually one of my stronger subjects, but I guess there is always room to learn more.

I commented on the Madagascar thread, but part was about St Pierre and Miquelon... You can add in the essais and the essai/pieforts for the complete all 6 collection image. The pieforts (as I recall while sitting at work looking here rather than working...) have mintages around 100. The essais around 1100. The pieforts are aluminum too, so I imagine that not all survive, so not always easy to find...yet are do-able for many. Unreal in some ways. I would love a couple of gem quality 'regular' ones!

I like those! I've been looking for nice ones for a while

Those small islands were left to France after the Seven Years' War. You can take a ferry trip from Canada and end up on a small set of islands and start spending your Euros.
