At least Prince attempted to deal with that one before the sun went down. Cooler heads prevailed shortly thereafter.
I still find it absolutely hilarious that the team whose closer has a choreographed celebration at the end of every save were the ones whose panties were in a bunch when another team had a choreographed celebration after an extra-innings walk off homerun.
How dare they!
edited to add: if Mota actually makes their roster, I predict no playoffs for the Giants.

The Giants don't need Mota. I don't know why he's even there, we've got plenty of middle-relievers.
I don't have a problem with Fielder doing his Fielder Quake when hitting walk-offs. Fielder knows what the price is. It's nothing personal, it's just business.

So would it be "just business" if a team got offended by Brian Wilson's celebration and the price was a tidy bruise where the stitches show on, say, Tim Lincecum?

You don't see a difference between a single guy doing something he practiced, and a whole team coming out to do something they practiced?
Just about every MLB batter who hits a HR will do some little jig when they cross home plate. Wilson's thing is no different.
Besides, Zito's the one who threw at Fielder. I doubt that Fielder even realized he got hit until the umpire said something.
<< <i>Big difference between Fielder and Wilson. Fielder should get drilled by every team for that stupid stunt. IMO
His Dad should whip his A$$ too!
It was Terrell Owens like and baseball doesnt need that lame A$$ cr@p!
PS. Giants will win 90 this year, and close to 100 for the next 3 years after (again) >>
Was the game really so "disrespected" as so many "baseball purists" like to say about Fielder's celebration?
If it was so tragic for the game where he would deserve to be "drilled by every team for that stupid stunt", why did Topps commemorate the celebration on his card? Aren't they the "official sportscard of major league baseball"?? If you don't want to see the celebration, don't groove one over the middle of the plate for him to put in the seats.
PS. The spring training games don't count, so you shouldn't add them in the win total.

Dodgers collection scans | Brett Butler registry | 1978 Dodgers - straight 9s, homie
Dont worry too much, the Giants will be better offensively this year and have a couple other homegrown future superstars on their way up.
PS. If Giants had Yankees TV $$ they would win 120 games a year

Slamming the Giants? Now now now. Giants were 88-74 in 2009. On the grand scale, they had the 8th best record out of all 30 MLB teams.

8th best huh? I'm sorry, I had no idea. How big is the trophy for 8th place anyway?

I can't resist this one. The trophy is the same size as the one for last place but last place gets a higher pick in the draft.
