Question about selections for a March Group Rip~Modern Choices Added

I was wanting to put together a group rip on Friday for a March rip and was wanting to include Basketball as one or two of the choices.

Would anyone want to bust up a Vending Case of 1985 Topps Baseball? With the 10% discount, it would be $24.38 plus s/h per vending box. Of course this would throw off the s/h charge a bit I think, but I'm really wanting to bust some boxes. If someone popped a PSA 10 Ripken #30 it would sell for a TON! image

Just throwing the idea out there, please take it for what it's worth.

As for the rest of the suggestions, I will partake for sure!

I would be in but you probably wouldn't get a PSA 10 from a vending case but from a rack/cello case. Just sayin'

I don't know about that vending case theory. Earlier this year I sent in 7 cards out of an OPC hockey vending box and got 5 10's and 2 9's. Considering the box was only a few bucks, I think those 10's more than paid for it. I had another 20 or so that were just as nice, but I didn't have the money to submit them. Sometimes those vending boxes aren't so bad.

That's very interesting. I have searched a couple very cheap vending boxes with no luck but maybe a case would be fun. I would need buy a loupe lol.

Seriously, there seems to be a lot of interest in Crosby's rookie. Maybe you could ask Steve to break a case of 2005/06 Upper Deck Hockey Unopened Series 1 Foil as long as we can sell out? $3250 - 10% = 2925 / 20 boxes = 146.25/box

His rookie is hot and will be throughout the season, maybe we can get these subbed in the March special too.

His rc #201 is selling in PSA 10 FOR $400+ right now.

If this is a go, please put me down for one box.

Oh man, I would have done so much more damage during that if I had known it was coming, and didn't just do my xmas shopping at that same time. I still made out really well, but could have done better.

Year...I really screwed up not ordering from BBCE on its Black Friday special. I'm already making my list for next year. Tons of 85-87 wax and factory sets will be coming my way.

I added some modern baseball to the mix. I have no experience opening any of it so if you have or if you know something about them please let me know.

Hopefully some of them would be worth ripping!

    Thanks!

I think modern baseball would be entertaining, given the season starting soon....

    I would eliminate these:

    1993 Finest BB (18) packs @ $14.75/pp
    1994 SP BB (32) packs @ $21.09/pp
    2003 Bowmans Best BB (10) packs @ $38.25/pp

    Then,

    Do one pack of these:
    1995 Bowmans Best BB (24) packs @ $4.13/pp
    2001 Bowmans Best BB (24) packs @ $4.13/pp
    2001 Topps Traded BB (24) packs @ $6.19/pp

    and,

one pack of either of these (average the price, maybe?):
    1996 Leaf Signatures BB (12) packs @ $16.88/pp
    1998 Leaf Signatures BB (12) packs @ $15.00/pp

and offer the first eighteen people

    one of each of these:
    2001 UD SPX BB (18) packs @ $8.75/pp
    2002 Bowmans Chrome BB (18) packs @ $6.75/pp

    and

    two of these:
    1992 Bowman BB (36) packs @$5.00/pp

Total comes to $55.95 for 8 packs, with the option to purchase one of 6 remaining lots of 4 packs (1 Leaf Sig + BB + TT) at $32ish.

I just gave myself a headache.

I'd love to see the 95 Bowman's Best baseball as I have about 200 refractors and have entertained puuting that set together since, well, 1995.

Hey EAsports, I think this rip was being set up ala carte, so you can pick and choose your packs. I don't think it's set up in lots. I could be wrong though.

EDIT: By the way, I really dig your modern choices!

Any interest in modern football? Sp authentic 1998 (Manning, Moss rookies) Sp 2000 (brady rookie) 2001 Breese, LT rookies 2004 topps chrome Big ben, eli, rivers rookies.. i'm not a modern expert.. so other sets from those years might be better.. but i would like to open a couple of packs of each to try to hit one of those rookies. Someone also suggested 2005 hockey.. i'd try a pack or tow.. but wouldn't want an entire box.
