Cashback Program
The Microsoft Bing Cashback Program provides cashback for up to 40 qualifying purchases per account on www.ebay.com. The amount of cashback will be determined by eBay, specified at the time of checkout on the "purchase review page" and equal to a percentage of the sale price (excluding shipping and handling fees, insurance fees and other such fees) ("Cashback Rewards"). The maximum amount of Cashback Rewards per qualifying purchase is $200.00 USD. The maximum amount of Cashback Rewards on www.eBay.com is $4,000.00 USD over the lifetime of the user. In addition, all Cashback Rewards (including cashback savings earned in connection with purchases made on websites other than www.eBay.com) are subject to the annual $2,500.00 USD per person cap set forth in the Program Terms. If the user exceeds either the $4,000.00 USD lifetime cap or the 40 transactions lifetime cap on Cashback Rewards earned on www.eBay.com, the user will not be eligible for Cashback Rewards on future purchases on www.eBay.com. If the user has not exceeded either the $4,000.00 USD lifetime cap or 40 transactions lifetime cap on Cashback Rewards earned on www.eBay.com but has exceeded the $2,500.00 USD annual cap on cashback savings earned on all websites, the user will not be eligible for Cashback Rewards earned on www.eBay.com until the next year.

It looks like they have put a lifetime cap on the dollar amount, though, at $4000. I was familiar with the annual $2500 cap, but had never heard of a lifetime cap before this. Did I just miss it before, or is it new?

.First ebay had a limit of 20 items and Bing had a limit of $2500 per calendar year. Then ebay upped the items to 40 but threw in the $2500 lifetime cap.Now the lifetime cap has been raised to $4000 -which is good for me as I waited patiently for the calendar year to reset my limit ,then found that ebay had changed terms with the $2500 lifetime cap.Looks like I'm back to searching buy it nows.....

It would have been more productive if Microsuck's Bing Cashback promotion had raised the rebate percentage by about 5 points. With the current static level of 8%, even if one also participates in the "eBay Bucks" 2% rebate program, all purchases are limited to a cap of 10% rebate on qualified eBay items. That isn't enough of an incentive for most buyers to open their wallets/purses/burlap bags in this economy. More and more of the masses are focusing on how they will continue to pay for their health care rather than buying luxury or pleasure items.
