"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
<< <i>NICE UNITAS!!! How long did it take to find that one?? >>
After searching forever with no luck, I finally was able to pry it from a fellow collector.

Funny how, as kids, we never really cared about centering. I look back through those old 9-card sheets and see all these OC cards, yet back then I didn't even notice. Now, it's one of the main things I look for when picking up cards.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
Great cards!! Almost all look like they should be reviewed for the bump!! Keep them coming!! This is a 9. but Im going to send it in for a review. So sharp!
Can I just say two things? #1 Absolutely unbelievable cards that you guys own. #2 How much money is sitting here on this thread? Four '52s......2 graded, 2 raw. I think they're centered, I'm a little nervous looking at everyone else's here. Have a great week everyone. Doug
This is probably the most dead centered vintage card I've ever owned, 10's included. It also holds a special place in my collecting history as it was one of the first cards I bought when I rejoined the hobby a couple of years ago. I didn't know much about the grading game, etc...but purchased this card raw on ebay when I was putting together my '61 set. I paid $35 (including shipping) for it and then sent it off with a bunch of other '61's. I still think it's one of the best looking vintage cards and my favorite Yaz card.
Everyone again. Ty for posting these. Its been an obsession of mine for about 4 years to find a dead centered rose rookie. And I found one 6 months ago. Its hard to find a dead centered card of the one that your looking for. Hope this post never dies. Keep them coming as you get them!
Also I have to have that 1955 Jim Thorpe!!! Its the hardest of them all to have centered like the one you do!! DAMN!!

I wish to echo the sentiment...FANTASTIC cards! I can stare at all these beauties forever.
Wow. These are spectacular. I'd think they were fakes if they weren't in a reputable slab. Just great.
Thanks. I was lucky enough to have bought these back in 2003. I don't think I could afford them today.
One of my favorite Stan cards - not perfect but very nice centering. Dead on centering is just plain hard to come by.
bobsbbcards, that '53 Bowman color Connie Ryan has a spectacular image. It almost
looks 3D!
jeff8877 and handyman, I give you props for tracking down those Clemente RC's. Almost
impossible to find centered!
