Some people just have too much disposable income and not enough common sense or willingness to research what they are buying.

The unfortunate part of unopened scams like these is that the bargain prices realized lower the value of authentic product. For example, the influx of all those homemade 12-card "grocery" cellos from the early '70s really hurt the true market value for authentic Topps cello packs from that same era.

  • Last i checked, a 97% out of 100 was a pretty darn good score.
  • in Physics class, yes - not on ebay!

On ebay, 4 stars out of 5 are considered bad.

according to who? Ive seen alot worse. Its alot harder to obtain perfect feedback since ebay's new rules where sellers cant leave neg's.

97% is a very poor rating for a seller of collectibles and cards, especially since 9 out 10 people don't even realize they're being ripped off. Heck, even PAOutdoorsman had a 98% feedback rating before he got indicted, LOL..

Perfect?? Yes, of course. But the seller has 2600+ feedback, so 3% neg is over 75 negs. That's a lot of "misunderstandings", isn't it?

    Forbes pretty much agrees...

"Go ahead, browse the site. You'll see that the vast majority of sellers have 99+% positive ratings. If you were grading on a curve, a 98% would probably be equivalent to a "C" on a report card--and it's relatively hard to find buyers with this rating. Below 97%? Forget it. No one's going to buy from you."

From the ebay scammers handbook, chapter 2 of many chapters and growing...."sell 97 cheap items on ebay or even a few expensive items in a legit way, get positive feedback, then rip people off, scam buyers on one or two expensive items, make a lot of money and possibly receive a few negs, but the feedback percentage appears to remain high"

oh yea, I almost forgot...chapter 1 of the ebay scammers handbook is "crime does pay on ebay"

So, are the two sub-100 FB guys driving this travesty along shills or independent morons?
  • i would not even be surprised if this was a '52 REPRINT rack.
