Koala collectors: My question

I ordered the 08,09, 2010 Koalas. Still waiting for their arrival.

I noticed high premium for the 07 one. My question: Is that because it was the first year issued or are were there less 07s minted at the Perth?

    According to the Perth Mint site,

    2007 mintage is 3060
    2008 mintage 4601
    2009 mintage 6292.

    So yes, the 2007 mintage is lower. Not sure if that's the contributing factor, though.

    According to the 2010 McDonald guide, none of these three coins catalogue above issue price locally.
