Has CU ever tried to come up with a system that sends you an email when you have a PM?

thought it was a good idea instead of having to log in and check ...

    I agree, it would be a nice feature

    I believe the technology needed is very advanced. Very few sites have the expertise to do such a thing. It would take special high intensity training. Although I do believe there are those here that can make the special high intensity training happen there may not be enough interest here to make it worthwhile.

    It is NOT hard to have this feature, however it is a function of the Forum software. I don't believe the software used here (Fusetalk) supports PM notification though it should support "subscribing" to a topic via an RSS feed, which emails the subscriber when a new message is posted. I think this feature is "off" for this Board though.

    If only there were such a place that had such advanced technology.

    On either side the river lie
    Long fields of barley and of rye,
    That clothe the wold and meet the sky;
    And thro' the field the road runs by
    To many-tower'd Camelot;

    I do believe there is. They have the advanced technology due to the special high intensity training they give to all who join. Some get more of this special high intensity training than others but they probably either need it or deserve it.
