Collect A Books Ernie Banks

Going through a collection I bought six months ago, found an Ernie Banks card, front says Collect-A-Books, four pages (if you call them pages), last page says Series A 1990 Book 11 of 36. Is that what this card is called or is it classified as some other name, any type of value or is it as worthless as most other 1990 cards?

Sorry, but they are basically worthless.

  • Wasn't really expecting anything else, 99% of my collection is worthless but for some reason I keep collecting.

It is only worthless if you don't enjoy collecting it. Some cards that I have are not worth much dollar wise but I remember when I picked it up or who i traded to get it or it was given to me by a loved one etc... Those memories are never worthless. I always tell people that you should only collect what you enjoy. If the card becomes more valuable and makes you money in the future; great, if not at least you have some memories and you still enjoy the cards. If you collect Ernie Banks these collect a books are nice to have in his collection. I have some of Don Mattingly and Bo Jackson. They look nice in my binder next to their other cards.
