... for the most part. They went a lot higher than I thought they would considering their condition. The only one that I thought would have gone for more was the Eliasberg Silver Fugio Restrike - closed @ $10.5k ... I figured it closer to $15k. The MS66 Pop 1/0 I used to own went for a surprising $19k. I think that someone must be building a registry set ... or improving one that they already have. I am sure that the owners of the collection are quite pleased.

Edited to add prices realized for future reference:

<< <i>Exposure is a good thing with coins. Would you agree ? >>
Absolutely ... especially in this case. If I were the collector I was 4 years ago, I would have bought every one of them. The exposure that collection received before the auction was very well orchestrated, and the story had a good hook. The prices realized will be good for the series as a whole ... and for the owners.

<< <i>I do wonder who bought the Eliasberg Fugio Silver Restrike... >>
Probably some colonial/pedigree collector
<< <i>Very cool and interesting. Wonder why the online PCGS price guide doesn't include a colonial section? >>
I agree ... there certainly is enough auction data to support a price guide.
<< <i>Wish they were mine! >>
Even at those prices???
