Does the person sending the money get any type of fees?

No... no fees across the board...

but also no way to claim SNAD; or get PayPal relief, so each party involved should make sure they know each other or have done business together to prevent any problems down the line.

    edit spelling oarty to party...

    No fees - Not true.

If the gift is funded by Paypal account balance then no fees.

If the gift is funded by Credit Card then the sender chooses if sender or receiver will incur fees.

Only send money as a gift to somebody you trust as there is almost nothing Paypal will do for you if things go wrong.

  • So people are lying to avoid paying for a service?

    Is that ok?

    Absolutely scandalous!

I know it doesn't rise to the level of pack searching, because small children aren't being ripped off, but I wasn't sure if it was ok or not.

This is not well known - I didn't know about it, no fees, until reading it here a few years ago in this forum, which was very much appreciated!

I have 2 different PayPal accounts and was paying the fees everytime making money transfers between the accounts - after reading that, now when I transfer money it is done as a gift with no fees - saved me a lot of money. Thank you! image

It's against forum etiquette to talk to yourself.

I think no fees are incurred if you also use a debit card. At least that has worked for me.
