    My Dad never watched sports.

As a kid, I watched Hockey and baseball mainly.

I still had a great relationship with my Father though.

"“Those who sacrifice liberty for security/safety deserve neither.“(Benjamin Franklin)

"I only golf on days that end in 'Y'" (DE59)
  • my Dad loved baseball, I miss playing catch with him. He would watch hoops or football come playoff time.

  • Hi there,

My dad passed his love of hockey on to me, and now I am passing it on to my son.

My dad and I literally watch just about anything. We don't really have any major bias towards any one sport and follow and enjoy them all. However, I follow them much more closely than he does and am normally his source of information for the in depth info.

If I had to list though, for him it'd go:

    1. Football
    2. Baseball
    3. Everything else

    For me:

    1. Baseball
    2. Football
    3. Hockey
    4. Basketball
    5. Everything else (soccer, racing, etc.)

  • my dad and I always watch the blackhawks and the wolves, and always the bears. College football too.

Dad's a Baseball (lifelong Dodger fan who stuck with them after the move west) and hoops guy.

Independently of his direct influence (my parents were divorced amicably), I'm largely the same.

Dad: MLB, NBA, NFL, College Football, College Basketball

Me: MLB, NBA, NFL, College Football, College Basketball, NHL

Growing up in South Carolina, Alabama, and South-Central California in the 1970s, I barely knew hockey existed.
  • Dad only watched Steelers games but was my little league baseball coach.

My Papaw and Mom got me into baseball and golf. Papaw would never miss a Braves game on TBS or PGA tourney on the weekends. Spent a lot of weekends watching baseball and golf with him.

My Dad's favorite team sports to watch are Big 5 college basketball and Phillies baseball.

We attended some games together at the Palestra, and a number of Phillies games at Veterans Stadium.

My dad didn't watch hardly any sports. Growing up I watched FB and BB. Not much was on.
Later I included most of the other sports. Love also watching english soccer.

We didn't have much growing up...but my dad did give me his time.
He watched me play baseball from little league thru college. He still tells most people he know how good I was and how far I could hit a ball.

When he does that it reminds me of all those happy memories.
