A New Scam? Opportunist? WTF?

Evening,
I sell a 1966 Non Sport Superman Wrapper out of my Store, BIN Sale 50% off $12.50 instead of $25 (Side note: Non Sport 50's 60's Wrappers have tanked in the last two years, two years ago this Wrapper was a lock at $60-80 bucks).

Paypal ASAP, I package, send. 4 days later I get polite Message..."You sent me a Graded Baseball Card not my Wrapper, what do I do, I have never had this happen, I am not going to have to Eat this am I? Ect. Ect", getting panicer as the message goes on.

Anyway I send message back that it is my screwup, Sorry, I will refund the $15.00 bucks and include $3 extra to send the Graded card back to me. I figure I Flip Flopped two orders, wouldn't be the first time, probably 1/2 dozen out of 10,000. Oh Well! I wish I was perfect...Just ask my Wife!!!!!

Don't hear anything, decide to get things rolling, go to Paypal and refund the origanl purchase & Shipping. Don't add the extra $3 because Paypal will only let me refund original purchase price. no extra.

Send second E-Mail telling about refund, have refunded your money, could you please give me specifics of the wrong card I sent you so I can contact that Buyer to forwarn them they are getting a Superman Wrapper not their Baseball card.

No Answer, days go by ...a week, send 4 more e-mails, no answer. So I do some checking, I DID NOT Sell any Baseball Cards Graded at the time frame I would have needed to to Flip Flop packages??? Period!! (I package almost every night). And I have never been contacted by a Buyer that they recieved a Wrapper not their Card!!

Another week, another 4-5 e-mails have gone by and the clown won't contact me back????
What gives???

Neil

    .
  • He may have gotten HIS packages mixed up and thought you sent him the wrong item. He receives your package a day or two later at the time you refunded him and decides to just keep it.

Check his other feedback and items he has purchased...

Not sure what to tell you.

All you can do is hit him with an npb alert.

Unless something has changed, you can do that following a refund.

  • << <i>HI Neil,

    Sorry for your troubles.

Please post the eBay ID and contact data including phone # so Google picks up on it too and helps prevent other sellers from being hosed too.

Have you requested the contact data and tried to call?

If the phone # does not work, contact eBay and they will kick him / her off eBay! >>

    Dave,
Appreciate the thought and in all seriousness have used one of the E-Bay phone numbers you supplied at least 20-30 times. Just one problem with the whole Call E-bay thing as I have tried to explain to them in the last 10 phone calls. Calling them is beyond a waste of time, in the 20-30 phone call, the outcome that has been of a common sense or useful out come for me has been...Exactly Zero! My favorite one recently was the incident where I had two identical cards that ended up being sold to two different buyers at the same time, and I having Human Frailty's (Meaning I am not perfect) accidently started a Not paid thing on one, but hit the button on the wrong item, different Auction number, but same (Identical item). So realize this as I hit the button, call e-bay and explain I want to Stop the Stop a Transaction, actually not that complicated, just use a little Right Brain activity. 2 hours on the phone up the Food chain to Supervisor after Supervisor, where do I get....Well you can fill in the Blank, No F$%#ucking Where.
So I end up eating Not One, but Two $30 dollar transactions. So calling E-Bay is the biggest waste of time I have ever heard of.

    Thanks for the thought

    Neil
