Are these worth any premium?
I have a 1997 $50 eagle graded MS 68 with a decent size obverse stike thru.
Any thought??
Pics soon.

are what I call "White Elephant Errors".
The value of the gold coin far exceeds it's premium
as a struck-thru.
Assuming your gold coin has a shiny area that's the
struck thru, and not 'textured', it's the result of being
struck thru 'saran wrap'-like clear thin plastic, which
covers the planchets as they travel from the annealing
and drying room, over to the Press Room to be struck.
Like saran wrap, the plastic sometimes sticks to the
planchets when struck. If you have the clear piece
of plastic that goes with the coin (kinda neat, as it
will have the detail of the coin design, but be clear!)
it will bring a premium.
Otherwise, assuming it's a typical sized Struck Thru,
they don't carry a premium to collectors. However,
on Ebay, anything is possible.

Hard to believe it would not be worth a decent premium.
but not huge S/T.
Again, most error collectors wouldn't pay
a premium for it, but if you can find someone
who will, that's great.....Ebay would probably
be about the only venue, imo.
Hope this info helps.
