1866 PCGS PR-68 3CN on Ebay

1866 3CN on Ebay

And now for the good part..........

Could not be graded by PCGS due to having been cleaned but I have had it graded at PF-68+ by independent coin graders. My guess is that PCGS would have had to give it about a PF68-PF69 and they simply said it was "cleaned" to get out of grading one so high. I think it would be the best one in the entire world if they were to grade this coin.

I'd like to see the one in the SMITHSONIAN MUSEUM to campare the two! This one could be better!

It was very predictable we'd start seeing garbage like this once "genuine" coins were put into PCGS-branded holders.

If I understand the pathetic listing correctly, it alleges our host was too intimidated to grade the finest known specimen. Instead, our host copped out and called it cleaned, which the seller interprets as meaning pristine.

    dead looking 3center from here.

Maybe they are anticipating a 100-point grading scale... image
