Should I give this Morgan as a birthday present or not?

My neighbor who is a close friend collects US coinage, albeit rather haphazardly.

For his birthday I wanted to get him a reasonably inexpensive (b'day present values set by wives) Morgan dollar, preferably slabbed.

I found this one and thought he'd like it.

The more I look at it though, it's obvious that it's been dipped (how else could it be pure white while being almost 130 years old).

Should I buy unslabbed and natural? I would have preferred a PCGS slab but they had none.

Yes, I forgot the images, here they are:

If you have time before his birthday, you might want to find an uncleaned coin to give him. That way you can discuss it with him without bringing up its obvious fault.

Yeah, but with a $25 limit what am I going to get that's any better?
