I agree that it is not necessarily an indication of something illegal.... potentially, it could be a "let's split the fee savings" offer you might consider.
I wouldn't say you are forced to accept or face a negative.
Treat it like any other offer. If you don't want to do it "just say no (thanks)" and let it be.
I don't understand some of you guys against saving a few bucks in Paypal fees.
If you have the option of taking a legitimate deduction on your taxes, do you say to yourself, "Nah, I'd rather pay Uncle Sam a few extra bucks than adding a few more numbers to my tax return..." ?

Exactly... This has been a very interesting thread! I'll certainly look into echecks for larger ticket items in order to save "feebay/PayPay" fees! If all I have to do is monitor when the check hits my PayPal account it seems fairly straightforward. I don't sell all that much but for those of you that do, this could save several hunderd dollars in paypal fees over the course of just a few months. L

Besides buying common Jeffersons for my Dansco album I'm done altogether with ebay. My local B&M guy has what I'm looking for. I'm finished with the registry competition, learned to love filling Danscos with VF-AU coins.

I did it this way in case it is a violation of ebay/paypal....I just don't need the hassle to try and save $15-20 bucks.
The suggestions did change the way I thought this morning when I got the message though, It is not as outrageous of an offer as I thought, it is actually savvy.......
